Or you know, that sound dirt bikes make. Anyway there is this crusty bike near my house that I only think gets moved so it isn’t towed. I really want to leave my card on it to buy it. Be a cheap bike that I could fix and ride around. But everyone I see it I haven’t seen any markings. Can you guess figure out the bike? I kinda guess early ninja

1-2 and 2-3 transmission problems are common in these. If I remember right the problem was actuall with 2nd gear and in worse cases it would pop out of 2nd under load.

Kawasaki ZZR600 (or ZX-6R depending on when it was made, my guess is late 80s/early 90s)

Decent bike for learning. Maybe 100hp, which is plenty on a bike, and most of that power is up top.

Definitely would not be my first bike, but I can’t afford the nice ‘08 Speed Triple I want.

Kinja'd!!!

I can afford a bike I can tinker on and ride though.

Ah! ZZR would be good for that. It’s basically at the bottom of its depreciation curve so, save for consumables and insurance, it wouldn’t cost “anything” to own.
